TEHRAN - A woman who was trying to get out of parking space drove her car into the glass door of a police station in the city of Rasht in Gilan Province, the Ettelaat newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Colonel Mohammadreza Jafari Qeirqah said on Sunday noon a Peugeot Pars, parked on side of the street, suddenly and violently slammed into the glass front door of the police department full speed and shattered the entire glass.

That was right after the female driver nearly missed running down a poor pedestrian walking on the sidewalk, he added.

Jafari Qeirqah added that the driver was a 27-year-old woman from one of the central provinces who lost control of her vehicle due to her poor driving skills.

The driver suffered minor injuries to the nose and head and was transferred to hospital for treatment; no one else was hurt in the accident, he concluded.
